Welcome on the French Polar Team’s website.
This site is dedicated to amateur radios and Short Waves Listeners (SWL) fascinated by polar and sub-Antarctic regions. We have created the Polar Trophy in the aim to stimulate the radio contacts with these regions as well as with the polar ships. This challenge is subdivided in the Antarctic Challenge and the Arctic Challenge.
Visitors, either amateur radio operators, SWL or simply interested in the polar regions will find on this site numerous information (history, photos, videos) about various places (stations, huts, refuges) and polar ships valid for the Polar Trophy. We are constantly looking to improve these information, an huge but fascinating work waits for us.
